, [tur] ''s.'' A prefix used in combination signifying evil, ill, bad, deficient; it is often changed to ற், before the hard let ters, to ன் before the soft, as துன்மார்க்கம். Before இடையினம், there is no change. Sometimes ர் is dropped and the relative letter takes its place--as துச்சரிதம், ஒருபசர்க் கை. (See துஷ்.) W. p. 414.
