1. To ascertain by tasting whether the paddy-grain that has been boiled is dry enough for husking;
குத்துதற்குத் தக்கபடி காய்த்ந்துள்ளதா என்பதை அறியப் புழுங்கல் நெல்லை வாயிலிட்டுப் பதம்பார்த்தல்.

2. To stare at with impudence;
அகங்காரங்கொண்டு வெறித்துப் பார்த்தல்.
