Vices are of three classes, of மனம், வாக்கு, and காயம். 1. மனத்தீக்குணம், sins of the mind, as ''(a)'' கொலைநினைக்கை, murderous intention; ''(b)'' காமப்பற்று, libidinous desire; ''(c)'' ஆசை, avarice, ambition. 2. வாக்கின்தீக்குணம், sins of the mouth--as ''(a)'' பொய்சொல்லல், lying; ''(b)'' கோள்சொல்லல், tale-bearing; ''(c)'' கோபித்துச்சொல்லல், angry speaking; ''(d)'' பயனில்சொல்லல், trifling or vain discourse. 3. காயத்தீக்குணம், sins of the body--as ''(a)'' களவாடப்போதல், thievish practices; ''(b)'' வறிதேதொழில்செயல், idleness; ''(c)'' கொலை செயல், killing, murder.
