[cḷpuḷkk ] --சளபுளென, ''inf. [prov.]'' To gurgle--as water. 2. To sound as the bubbling of water when boiling rice, the water being low. 3. To splash--as wet ground or moist boiled rice when stirred with a ladle. 4. To be disconcert ed, abashed or baffled. 5. To be reduced in power, prosperity, &c.--''Note.'' These meanings are not perhaps general; they arise from the sound of the word, ஒலிக்குறி ப்பு.
