kaṇ-tiṟa-
v. id. + tr.
1. To chisel or paint the eyes of an idol or of a picture, respectively, so as to make the image appear to have the sense of sight ;
விக்கிரகம் முதலியவற்றிற்கு கண்வழித்தோன்றச் செய்தல்.

2. To cut open the eyes to the coconut;
பருகுமாறு இளநீரின் கண்ணைத்திறத்தல்.-intr.

1. To open the eyes, as a kitten;
பிறந்தகுட்டிகள் கண்களைத்திறத்தல்.

2. To illumine the mind, to impart instruction, as opening the eyes of a disciple's mind;
