பிள்ளைத்தமிழில் ஆண் அல்லது பெண் குழந்தையைத் தன்னிடம் வருக என்று தாய் முதலியோர் அழைப்பதைக் கூறும் பருவம். (பிங்.) மாற்றாரிய முத்தமே வாரானை. (வச்சணந். செய்.8).
