வண்டு சுரும்பு தேன் ஞிமிறு என நால் வகைப்பட்ட அறுகாற் சிறுபறவை. யாழிசைகொண்ட வினவண்டிமிர்ந் தார்ப்ப (கலித். 131). 1. [M. vaṇdu.] Chafer, bee, of four kinds, viz., vaṇtu, curumputēṉ, imiṟu; நறுமணத்தை நாடிப் பறக்கும் அறுகாற் சிறு பறவைவகை. வண்டுகண் மகிழ்தேனினங்காள் (சீவக. 892). 2. kind of bee; பிரயாணத்தில் மாடுகளின் உணவாக வண்டியின் மேலிடும் வைக்கோற்பழுதை. 2.
