'பிணங்களைச்சுட்டுக்குவி' எனப் பொருள்படும்படி அமைந்த ஆந்தையின் ஒலிக்குறிப்பு. சுட்டுக் குவியெனச் செத்தோர்ப் பயிருங் கள்ளியம் பறந்தலை. (புறநா.240). Screeching of an owl fancied to resemble the word cuṭṭu-k-kuvi and indicate that the corpses should be burnt and heaped;
