இஸ்திரி, ஸ்திரீ, திரி, s. a woman, பெண். ஸ்திரீ ஜாதி, -சாதி, -சனம், the female sex. ஸ்திரீ ரத்தினம், a most excellent woman. ஸ்திரீ லட்சணம், female excellence, modesty etc. ஸ்திரீ லிங்கம், the feminine gender; 2. verenda famina. குலஸ்திரீ, the lawful wife. பட்ட (பட்டத்து) ஸ்திரீ, a queen. பரஸ்திரீ, the wife of another, a strange woman, a prostitute (opp. to சொஸ்திரீ, one's own wife).
