s. a straw, a rush, திரணம். ஆள் துரும்பாய்ப் போனான், he is greatly imaciated. துரும்பாட்டம், s. thinness, meagerness (துரும்பு+ஆட்டம், likeness); 2. a girl's play in sand with a splinter; 3. playing with the trump in cards. துரும்பு கொடுக்க, to give the wife a straw in token of divorce. துரும்பு வாங்க, to take the straw (i.e.) to accept the divorce. துரும்பைத் தூணாக்க, to exaggerate a fault.
