தட்டிக்கொள்

taṭṭi-k-koḷ-,
v. id. +. tr.
1.To grasp anything within reach;
அபகரித்தல். என் பொருளைத் தந்திரமாகத் தட்டிக் கொண்டான்.

2. To steal;
திருடுதல். Loc. --intr.

3. To be exhausted; to be in want;
தளர்தல். (W.)

4. To strike against; to be resisted by an obstacle; to run aground, as a ship;
மோதிக்கொள்ளுதல்.

5. To be obstructed, hindered, as in reading, speaking, etc,;
தடைப்படுதல்.

6. To fail, prove inadequate;
பற்றாமற்போதல். Loc.
