VI. v. t. warn, caution, forewarn, give previous advice, புத்திசொல். எச்சரிக்கை, v. n. caution, circumspection (a word used before kings and great men to excite awe); a certain song ending with the word, எச்ச ரிக்கை. எச்சரிக்கையாயிருக்க, to take heed, to be on one's guard. எச்சரித்துவைக்க, to admonish or warn beforehand. எச்சரிப்பு, v. n. warning, cautioning, previous notice.
