v. அறுதியிடு, விதிமுறைசெய், ஆணையாக இடு, மருந்து முதலியன வகுத்துக்குறி, குறித்துக்கொடு, வகுத்துறை, வழிவகை கூறு, எல்லை கட்டுறுத்து, நடப்புரிமை வற்புறுத்து, நீள் வழக்காற்றுரிமை கோரு, தவணைகடந்து செல்லாததாகு.

To lay down authoritatively as a guide, direction, or rule of action; to impose as a peremptory order; to dictate; to appoint; to direct. Prescribe not us our duties. Shak.
