sump

n. கட்டுதொட்டி, சுரங்கம் - இயந்திரம் ஆகியவற்றின் கழிவுநீர்ச் சேகரத்திற்கான கட்டுகுழி, கட்டுகுட்டம், எண்ணெய் முதலியவற்றிற்கான சேகரக்கிணறு, கொட்டு தட்டம், உருக்கிய உலோகத் தேக்ககத்தொட்டி, கொட்டளம், உப்பு நீர் தேங்குவதற்கான உப்பளத் தேக்கம், வடிகுட்டை, வண்டல் பிரித்து நீர் உள்வாங்கும் பள்ளம்.
