n. பதிலீடு, பதில்வைப்பு, ஆள் மாற்றீடு, பொருள் மாற்றீடு, பதிலாள் நிலை, மாற்றுப்பொருள் நிலை, (வேதி.) அணுமாற்றீடு, அணுத்திரண்மத்தில் திரண்மம்பிளக்காமலேயே அணுவினிடம் அணுவாக மாறுபடல்.

The act of substituting or putting one person or thing in the place of another; as, the substitution of an agent, attorney, or representative to act for one in his absense; the substitution of bank notes for gold and silver as a circulating medium. 2.
