pennant
n. (கப்.) பாய்மரத்தின் உச்சியில் தொங்கும் சிறுகயிறு, கீழ்ப்புரத்தில் பாய்மரக் கருவிகளின் கொக்கிகளை இணைப்பதற்குதவும் கண்ணியுல்ன் கூடிய சிறு கயிறு, நீண்டு குறுகிய முக்கோண வடிவுடைய படைத்துறையின் அடையாளக் கொடி, ஈட்டியையுடைய குதிரைப்படையின் கொடி, கப்பலின் நீண்டு குறுகிய புகைப்போக்கி, கொடி.

The narrow, or long, pennant (called also whip or coach whip) is a long, narrow piece of bunting, carried at the masthead of a government vessel in commission.
