பதக்கம், கழுத்தணியிற் நோக்கப்பட்டுள்ள தொங்கணி, (கப்.) பாய்மரத்தின் உச்சியில் தொங்கும் சிறு கயிறு, கீழ்ப்புறத்தில் பாய்மரக் கருவிகளின் கொக்கிகளை இணைப்பதற்குதவும் கண்ணியுடன் கூடிய சிறுகயிறு, கைக்கடிகார வளையம், இணைதுணை, சோடி, எதிரிணை, (பெ.) தொங்குகிற, மேற்கவிந்து தொங்குகிற, உறுதியற்ற, முடிவுபெறாத, நிறைவேறாத, முடிவுக்காகக் காத்திருக்கிற.
