Lach"es, Lache, n. Etym: [OF. lachesse, fr. lache lax, indolent, F. lâche, ultimately fr. L. laxus loose, lax. See Lax.] (Law) Defn: Neglect; negligence; remissness; neglect to do a thing at the proper time; delay to assert a claim.
