hurdle

n. இடையீட்டுத் தடைவேலி, பந்தயத்தில தாண்டிச் செல்வதற்குரிய தடுப்புச்சட்டம், துரோகிகளைத் தூக்கிலிட இழுத்துச் செல்லும் மரச்சட்டம், (வி.) மரச்சட்டங்களால் வேலியிடு, தடையிடர்களைச் சுற்றிலும் அமை, தடைச்சட்டத்தின் மீது தாவிக் குதி, இடையீட்டுத் தடைச்சட்ட ஓட்டப்பந்தயத்தில் கலந்தாடு.
