En"sta*tite, n. Etym: [Named fr. Gr. (Min.) Defn: A mineral of the pyroxene group, orthorhombic in crystallization; often fibrous and massive; color grayish white or greenish. It is a silicate of magnesia with some iron. Bronzite is a ferriferous variety.
