Wo"den, n. Etym: [AS. Woden; akin to OS. Wodan, OHG. Wuotan, Icel. Othinn, and probably to E. wood, a. Cf. Wednesday.] (Northern Myth.) Defn: A deity corresponding to Odin, the supreme deity of the Scandinavians. Wednesday is named for him. See Odin.
