whittle
n. (பழ.) தசைவெட்டுக் கத்தி, இறைச்சிக் கடைக்காரரின் பெரிய கத்தி, (வினை.) கத்தியால் வெட்டு, துண்டு துண்டாக நறுக்கு, சீவு, வெட்டி உருவாக்கு, வெட்டிக் குறை, சிறிது சிறிதாகக் குறைந்து ஒன்றுமில்லாதாகு.

See White.] (a) A grayish, coarse double blanket worn by countrywomen, in the west of England, over the shoulders, like a cloak or shawl. C. Kingsley. (b) Same as Whittle shawl, below.
