Way"ment, v. i. [imp. & p. p. Waymented; p. pr. & vb. n. Waymenting.] Etym: [OE. waymenten, OF. waimenter, gaimenter, guaimenter, from wai, guai, woe! (of Teutonic origin; see Woe) and L. lamentari to lament. See Lament.] Defn: To lament; to grieve; to wail. [Written also waiment.] [Obs.] Thilke science . . . maketh a man to waymenten. Chaucer.
