n. குடற் சஷீச் சவ்வின் மேலுள்ள சிறு மயிர்போன்ற உறுப்புக்கள், குடற் பிசிறு, (தாவ.) கனிகஷீன் மேலும் மலர்கஷீன் மேலும் மூடியுள்ள மயிர்போன்ற துய்.

Defn: One of the minute papillary processes on certain vascular membranes; a villosity; as, villi cover the lining of the small intestines of many animals and serve to increase the absorbing surface. 2. pl. (Bot.) Defn: Fine hairs on plants, resembling the pile of velvet.
