(க-க.) தஷீர்க்கொடி ஒப்பனை வேலைப்பாடு, முகப்பெழுத்துச் சித்திர வேலைப்பாடு, முற்காலக் கையெழுத்துப் படிகளுக்குரிய தலைப்பெழுத்துப் பூவேலை ஒப்பனைக்கோலம், புத்தக முதற்பக்கப் பின்னணிப் பூவேலைமானம், பெயர்ப்பக்க முகட்டுப் பூவேலை, பெயர்ப்பக்க அடிவரிப் பூவேலை, நிழற்படப் பின்னணிக் கொடிவரிக் கோலம், கொடிவரைப் பின்னணிப் பட முகப்போவியம், இலக்கிய எழுத்தாண்மைக் கலைத்துறையில் பண்புரு மணி ஓவியம், (பெ.) கொடிவரைப் பின்னணிப் படமுகப்போவியம் வரை, நிழற்படப் பின்னணிக் கொடிவரிக்கோலம் அமை, பட முகப்பைக் கொடிவரிக் கோலத்தில் சென்றிழைவுறச் செய்.
Vi*gnette", n. Etym: [F. vignette, fr. vigne a vine. See Vine, and cf. Vinette.] 1. (Arch.) Defn: A running ornament consisting of leaves and tendrils, used in Gothic architecture. 2. A decorative design, originally representing vine branches or tendrils, at the head of a chapter, of a manuscript or printed book, or in a similar position; hence, by extension, any small picture in a book; hence, also, as such pictures are often without a definite bounding line, any picture, as an engraving, a photograph, or the like, which vanishes gradually at the edge. Vi*gnette", v. t. Defn: To make, as an engraving or a photograph, with a border or edge insensibly fading away.
