a. குருதிநாள இறுக்க மருந்து, நரப்புச் சுருக்க மருந்து, (பெ.) மருந்து வகையில் குருதி நாளம் இறுக்குகிற, நரம்பு தளர்த்தி விடுகிற.

These nerves are also called vasohypertonic. n. Defn: A substance which causes constriction of the blood vessels. Such substances are used in medicine to raise blood pressure.
