-1 n. அடி ஆதாரம்,அடித்தாங்கல், அடிக்கிடைத்தாள், அச்செழுத்துருக்களை உயரப்படுத்துவதற்காக அவற்றின் அடியில் வைக்குந்தாள், கம்பள அடிவைப்பிற்குரிய நீர்காப்புத்தாள், நீர்காப்பு அடி விரிப்பட்டை, (சுரங்.) சாய் உலோகக் கருப் பாறை, சாய் சுரங்க வழி.-2 v. அடியில் வை, அடி ஆதாரமாக இடு, அடித்தாங்கலாக வைத்து உறுதிசெய், (அச்சு.) அச்செழுத்து உருக்களின் கீழே அடிக்கிடைத் தாளை வை, (சுரங்.) சாய்கோட்டமுறு, செங்குத்து நிலையினின்றுஞ் சாய்வுறு.-3 v.
