Tres"ayle` (três"al`), n. Etym: [F. trisaïeul, from L. tris, tres, three + F. aïeul grandfather. Cf. Besaiel, and see Ayle.] Defn: A grandfather's grandfather. [Obs.] Writ of tresayle (O. Eng.
