n. குரையிரப்போர், (பெ.) தாழ்ந்து வேண்டுதலசெய்கிற, பணிந்து குறையிரக்கிற, பணிந்து குறையிரத்தலைக் காட்டுகிற.


Sup"pli*ant, a. Etym: [F., p.pr. of supplier to entreat, L. supplicare. See Supplicate, and cf. Supplicant.] 1. Asking earnestly and submissively; entreating; beseeching; supplicating. The rich grow suppliant, and the poor grow proud. Dryden. 2. Manifesting entreaty; expressive of supplication. To bow and sue for grace With suppliant knee. Milton.
