-1 n. (கப்.) தொடுவான் கோணம், கப்பல் முன்புற உந்துகோலுக்கும் அடிவானுக்கும் இடையேயுள்ள கோண நிலை, (வினை.) (கப்.) கப்பல் முன்புற உந்துசட்ட வகையில் தொடுவான் கோணிடு, முன்புற உந்து சட்டத்தினைத் தொடுவான் கோணிடுவி.-2 n. (கப்.) திணிகோல், கப்பலில் இடமமையச் சரக்குகளைத் திணித்துவைக்க உதவும் நீள் மரச்சட்டம், (வினை. ) திணிகோலால் திணித்துவை.

OD. steve staff, E. stem, n.] (Shipbuilding) Defn: To project upward, or make an angle with the horizon or with the line of a vessel's keel; -- said of the bowsprit, etc. Steeve, v. t. 1. (Shipbuilding) Defn: To elevate or fix at an angle with the horizon; -- said of the bowsprit, etc. 2. To stow, as bales in a vessel's hold, by means of a steeve. See Steeve, n. (b). Steeve, n. (Naut.) (a) The angle which a bowsprit makes with the horizon, or with the line of the vessel's keel; -- called also steeving.
