n. மதகு, வாய்மடை, கண்மாய், மதகு வருநீர், மதகு வடிநீர், கண்மாய் வருகால், கண்மாய் மறிகால், வாய்க்கால், தூம்புவாய்க்கால், கட்டு நீரோடை, அலம்பீடு, (வினை.) மதகு அமை, வாய்மடை, வகுத்தமை, மதகுநீர்த்தேக்கு, மதகிலிருந்து வௌ஢ளம் பெருகச்செய், அலம்பு, மீதாக நீர்பாய்ச்சு, தூம்புநீர்பீற்று, வௌ஢ளத்தின் வகையில் பீறிப்பாய்வுறு.

An artifical passage for water, fitted with a valve or gate, as in a mill stream, for stopping or regulating the flow; also, a water gate of flood gate. 2.
