v. உலோக மாசாக்கு, ஈயம் அல்லது வெங்காரத்தை உயர் உலோகத்தாதுவின் கூற்றோடு கலந்து மாற்றுத் தேர்வுசெய்.
Sco"ri*fy, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Scorified; p. pr. & vb. n. Scorifying.] Etym: [Scoria + -fy: cf. F. scorifier.] (Chem.) Defn: To reduce to scoria or slag; specifically, in assaying, to fuse so as to separate the gangue and earthy material, with borax, lead, soda, etc., thus leaving the gold and silver in a lead button; hence, to separate from, or by means of, a slag.
