Re*spire" (r*spr), v. i. [imp. & p. p. Respired (-sprd"); p. pr. & vvb. n. Respiring.] Etym: [L. respirare, respiratum; pref. re- re- + spirare to breathe: cf. F. respirer. See Spirit.] 1.
