Rem"i*ped (rm"-pd), a. Etym: [L. remus oar + pes, pedis, foot: cf. F. rémipède.] (Zoöl.) Defn: Having feet or legs that are used as oars; -- said of certain crustaceans and insects. Rem"i*ped, n. (Zoöl.) (a) An animal having limbs like oars, especially one of certain crustaceans. (b) One of a group of aquatic beetles having tarsi adapted for swimming. See Water beetle.
