Rem"a*nent (-nent), n. Etym: [See Remanent, a.] Defn: That which remains; a remnant; a residue. Rem"a*nent, a. Etym: [L. remanens, p. pr. of remanere. See Remain, and cf. Remnant.] Defn: Remaining; residual. That little hope that is remanent hath its degree according to the infancy or growth of the habit. Jer. Taylor.
