praemunire

n. (சட்.) கட்டளையழைப்பு, இங்கிலாந்தில் போப்பாண்டவரின் அதிகாரத்தை நிலைநிறுத்துவதாகக் குற்றம் சாட்டப்பட்டவரை அழைக்குமாறு மாவட்ட நீதிபதிக்கு இடப்படும் கட்டளை.

Law) (a) The offense of introducing foreign authority into England, the penalties for which were originally intended to depress the civil power of the pope in the kingdom.
