-2 n. யோகச் சீட்டாட்ட வகை.-1 n. சலங்கு, தட்டைப்படகு, தோணிப்பாலம், நீரின் கீழ் அடித்தளம் அமைக்க உதவும் நீரேறாப் பெரும்பேழை, படகுருவான துறைமுகவாயிற் கதவம், விமானத்தெப்பம், தெப்பம், (வினை.) மிதவைப்படகுகளில் ஆற்றைக் கடந்து செல்.

(Naut.) Defn: A low, flat vessel, resembling a barge, furnished with cranes, capstans, and other machinery, used in careening ships, raising weights, drawing piles, etc., chiefly in the Mediterranean; a lighter. Pontoon bridge, a bridge formed with pontoons. -- Pontoon train, the carriages of the pontoons, and the materials they carry for making a pontoon bridge.
