n. கற்றுத்தூண் வரிசை, கோயில்-மடம்-மண்டபம் முதலியவற்றைச் சுற்றிலும் உள்ள தூண் வரிசை, சுற்றுமண்டபம், கோவில்-மடம்-மண்டபம் முதலியவற்றைச் சுற்றிலுமுள்ள தூண்வரிசை நிறைந்த இடம்.

Per"i*style, n. Etym: [L. peristylum, Gr. péristyle.] (Arch.) Defn: A range of columns with their entablature, etc.; specifically, a complete system of columns, whether on all sides of a court, or surrounding a building, such as the cella of a temple. Used in the former sense, it gives name to the larger and inner court of a Roman dwelling, the peristyle. See Colonnade.
