Pa`le*ëch`i*noi"de*a, n. pl. Etym: [NL. See Paleo-, and Echinoidea.] (Zoöl.) Defn: An extinct order of sea urchins found in the Paleozoic rocks. They had more than twenty vertical rows of plates. Called also Palæechini. [Written also Palæechinoidea.]
