O`don*tol"cae, n. pl. Etym: [NL., from Gr. (Paleon.) Defn: An extinct order of ostrichlike aquatic birds having teeth, which are set in a groove in the jaw. It includes Hesperornis, and allied genera. See Hesperornis. [Written also Odontholcae, and Odontoholcae.]
