Nau"pli*us, n.; pl. Nauplii. Etym: [L., a kind of shellfish, fr. Gr. (Zoöl.) Defn: A crustacean larva having three pairs of locomotive organs (corresponding to the antennules, antennæ, and mandibles), a median eye, and little or no segmentation of the body.
