Mars*de"ni*a, n. Etym: [NL. From W. Marsden, an English author.] (Bot.) Defn: A genus of plants of the Milkweed family, mostly woody climbers with fragrant flowers, several species of which furnish valuable fiber, and one species (Marsdenia tinctoria) affords indigo.
