v. சொல்லுக்கு லத்தீன் வடிவங்கொடு, லத்தீன் மொழிப்படுத்து, பண்டை ரோமரின் பழக்கவழக்க மரபுகளுடன் இசைவுபடுத்து, லத்தீன் மரபுத் தொடர்களை வழங்கு.


Lat"in*ize, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Latinized; p. pr. & vb. n. Latinizing.] Etym: [L. latinizare: cf. F.latiniser.] 1. To give Latin terminations or forms to, as to foreign words, in writing Latin. 2. To bring under the power or influence of the Romans or Latins; to affect with the usages of the Latins, especially in speech. "Latinized races." Lowell. 3. To make like the Roman Catholic Church or diffuse its ideas in; as, to Latinize the Church of England. Lat"in*ize, v. i. Defn: To use words or phrases borrowed from the Latin. Dryden. 2.
