n. பித்தளைமெருகு, பித்தளைமேல் பூசப்படுவதற்கான பொன்வண்ண பெருகெண்ணெய், அரக்குச்சாயம், மரத்தின்மீது பூசப்படும் பெருகெண்ணெய், மெருகெண்ணெய் பூசப்பட்ட மரச்சரக்கு, (வினை) பொன்வண்ண மெருகெண்ணெய் பூசு.
Lac"quer, n. Etym: [F. lacre a sort of sealing wax, Pg. lacte, fr. laca lac. See Lac the resin.] [Written also lacker.] Defn: A varnish, consisting of a solution of shell-lac in alcohol, often colored with gamboge, saffron, or the like; -- used for varnishing metals, papier-maché, and wood. The name is also given to varnishes made of other ingredients, esp. the tough, solid varnish of the Japanese, with which ornamental objects are made. Lac"quer, v. t. [imp. & p. p.
