n. இதழ் ஒலி, உதடுகளின் துணையால் ஒலிக்கப்படும் எழுத்து, (பெ.) இதர்பற்றிய, இதழ்போன்ற, உதடுகள் போன்று செயலாற்றுகிற, உதடுகளால் ஒலிக்கப்பெறுகிற.
