interregnum
n. ஒழுங்கான அரசனில்லாக் காலம், இடையாட்சிக்காலம், ஓராட்சி முடிவுக்கும அடுத்த ஆட்சித் தொடக்கத்துக்கும் இடைப்பட்ட காலம், இடை ஓய்வு, இடைக்காலம்.

The time during which a throne is vacant between the death or abdication of a sovereign and the accession of his successor. 2. Any period during which, for any cause, the executive branch of a government is suspended or interrupted.
