In`ter*clude", v. t. [imp. & p. p. Intercluded; p. pr. & vb. n. Intercluding.] Etym: [L. intercludere, interclusum; inter between + claudere to shut. See Close, and cf. Interclose.] Defn: To shut off or out from a place or course, by something intervening; to intercept; to cut off; to interrupt. Mitford.
