-1 n. விரற்கடை, அங்குலம், அடியில் பன்னிரண்டில் ஒரு பகுதி, சிறு அளவுக்கூறு, மழைமானியில் ஓர் அங்குல உயரம் பெய்யும் மழை அளவு, பாதரசப் பாரமானயில் ஓர் அங்குல உயரம் பெய்யும் மழை அளவு, பாதரசப் பாரமானியில் ஓர் அங்குல உயரமுள்ள பாதரசத்தின் பளுவைச் சரிகட்டும் வளிமண்-2 n. சிறு தீவு, ஸ்காத்லாந்து நாட்டினையடுத்த சிறு தீவம்.


Inch, n. Etym: [Gael. inis.] Defn: An island; -- often used in the names of small islands off the coast of Scotland, as in Inchcolm, Inchkeith, etc. [Scot.] Inch, n. Etym: [OE. inche, unche, AS. ynce, L. uncia the twelfth part, inch, ounce. See Ounce a weight.] 1.
