Heft, n. Defn: Same as Haft, n. [Obs.] Waller. Heft, n. Etym: [From Heave: cf. hefe weight. Cf. Haft.] 1. The act or effort of heaving [Obs.] He craks his gorge, his sides, With violent hefts.
