E. frouzy froward, peevish, offensive to the eye or smell; cf. froust a musty smell, frouse to rumple, frouze to curl, and E. frounce, frowy.] Defn: Fetid, musty; rank; disordered and offensive to the smell or sight; slovenly; dingy.
